~ High Elves ~
Social Profile:
Elves are general isolationists. They keep to themselves
mostly, except for the few who enter the Monasteries of the Gifted. They
are a very spiritual people and have a deep connection with the world
around them. As such, they have latent magic abilities. They are very long
lived and do not take partners for the purpose of procreation. Arranged
marriages are used to accomplish that task and each couple is only
expected to have two children. To find a true life-mate, Elves turn to
those of the same sex. While bi-racial marriages to occur it is nearly
unheard of for a man to lay with another man of a different race.
Elves are a democratic society. They are ruled by a
Senate. Their history was a monarchy. There are still symbolic royalty who
preside over regions like Governors.
Physical Profile:
Elves are typically very tall and thin. They have long,
graceful limbs. They are deceivingly strong and have fast reflexes. They
are well known for their eyesight and archery skills. High Elves are
generally fair skinned, but with dark eyes and hair. Guardian High Elves
tend to have white hair. As opposed to Wood Elves who are more like humans
in their variety of looks.
Natural/Supernatural Profile:
Elves have natural abilities. However as opposed to the
Gifted, Elves only have power in:

Earth
-
Healing
-
Psionics
Most Elves find that they are better in one are than
another, however, some may find they have no powers in any area. Magic is
a trait that is more dominate in some Elves than others.
Psychological Profile:
Elves are a rather ethno- and egocentric race. They do
not typically mix with other races and prefer to be left alone. They are a
non-violent race unless provoked.
